Hello reader! My 'name' is Sciencechick. I am currently a student at Ivy Tech Community College. I enjoy my time here very much. I'll admit I was nervous about starting classes this semester. My daughter started school last week. This was her first time in 'big kid' school. I wasn't sure how our schedule's were going to mesh. I am happy to inform you that the first day went just fine. She got to chool on time! No car trouble! I didn't oversleep! I had the correct book! I found a parking spot right away! All and all, things went beautifully. What things scare you about starting school?
I am close to graduating. However, I have noticed that I still get the 'butterflies' in my stomach at the begining of each approaching semester. The best thing to do is to try to be as prepared as possible. Check e-learning to see if the professor has posted any announcements. Check your campus connect e-mail to see if any important mail from the school has been sent to you. Buy your books early, if you can. Try to read ahead in your text book. Most importantly ENJOY!

Sciencechick,
Boy can I relate to being nervous. This semester is the first time I've been back to school in 14 years. I was a wreck that first class. It went really well though and I'm happy to say I think I'm going to do well here on campus. Next semester, I'll be going full time, now I've only got the one class.
Thanks for sharing that you were nervous too, it takes some of the pressure off to know that someone out there has just as many 'butterflies' as you do.
